The Heat showed their vulnerability, but the young Pacers weren't quite ready for the opportunity. The Spurs have the best coach in the league, three stars who know how to finish, and a point guard in Tony Parker who can get his own shot when necessary. Going to be a great series. Spurs in 6. |

Despite my profound respect for Pops, Duncan and the entire San Antonio Spur organization, I'm rolling with the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Memphis was overrated and a bit one-dimensional minus a legit go-to-scorer, and the Spurs exploited that with relative ease. LeBron alone changes that, and Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen enter the series following solid contributions in Game 7. Tony Parker's penetrating ability steals a game or two, but Miami has already dumped its biggest threat. Props to Duncan for a return to the Finals, but he's 37. Feel free to romanticize, but the King simply will not be denied another crown. Miami in 6. |

The Miami Heat faced arguably the toughest task of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference Finals, but still knocked off the Indiana Pacers. Now comes the final test, pardon the pun, against the San Antonio Spurs. The Heat beat the Spurs twice during the regular season. In both games, Heat center Chris Bosh came up big, including a game-winning shot in the second game. Bosh scored 23 points and had nine rebounds in the second game and had 18 points and 12 rebounds in the first game against San Antonio. The Heat will need Bosh to show up because Dwyane Wade's knee is severely limiting him thus far in the playoffs. The Spurs counter with the best point guard in the game, plus arguably the best power forward of all-time in Tim Duncan, and throw in a little Manu Ginobli as well. The difference in the series will come down to the bench/role players and for the first time since the Big Three came together, I think Miami has the advantage in that area. Miami in 6. |

Despite their role as Underdogs, Tim Duncan & Tony Parker are having renaissance All-NBA seasons. Not to mention, they have the 'Bill Belichick of the NBA' in Gregg Popovich. With that being said, I'm taking the Spurs over the 'Manufactured Dynasty' Miami Heat in 6 Games. The Spurs will enjoy their 5th NBA World Title over the last 15 Years to cement their Legacy as an official dynasty. |
